Santa Land!!!

Santa Land is one of our traditions, we go every year. It is getting really fun now that Logan and Maddox are getting bigger. There are so many lights, you start by driving under that huge wreath, and tune your radio to a certian station, and there are long rows of Christmas trees that blink to the beat.
I cant' get Logan to look at the camera, there is so much to see!! We tried to see the lights on a saturday night but the line was miles long so we came back on a thursday and it was great. We really enjoyed it!!

Logan thought all the little elf scenes were so funny!

Maddox loved being out of his seatbelt, and mostly wanted to run around the car and push all the buttons he could get his hands on!

Daddy Matt loves Christmas, so he had fun bringing the boys to see the lights!!
Finally Maddox got intrested in the lights, he thought they were just about as cool as the buttons in the car. And there is Matt enjoying the festivites!! The weather was perfect to have the windows open, Logan's head out the sun roof, and the heater on, we were so lucky, It was so cold the day before. We had a fun night as a family!

Christmas Cookies

Logan was in charge of bringing the snack for his school Christmas party, so we decided to make cookies and ice them. After we (I) finished the cookies for school logan decided to join me. He rolled out his dough...after a few tries it wasn't rolled out paper thin.

Then cut out his shapes, we started with the holliday ones I was using, then got out some fun trains and airplanes.... Each new shape he would cut he would say "I bet you will like this one" He carefully moved any dough touching his cookie shape and pushed it aside, then peeled up his shape...
placed it on the cookie sheet, I put them in the oven, and we waitedthen finally we had our cookies!! It's always fun to do the Holiday baking, but it was espically fun with Logan.

Logan's class loved them, they had a fun little party, three year olds are so cute!!!

Baby Holland

Gena went into the hospital the night before she was induced, so Ali, Tiffany, and I went to visit her and to calm and worries she was having. I can't believe baby Gena is having a baby of her own!

Steven and Gena are both so excited for the arrival of their little girl, we all are, she will the second grand daughter out of the ten!
Gena's water broke all by it self and that's why her tummy is lop-sided, we were expecting a six pound baby, so we were surprised when her tummy didn't shrink much. And here we are outside the door, listening to the count and waiting to hear that first cry!!
That six pound baby came out weighing NINE lbs ONE oz. Luckily she chose to get an epidural, but Unfortunately it stopped working. All available anesthesiologist were working with a group of boyscouts who had been in an accident in Overton. An 83 year old man drove through into their Christmas parade and hit a crowd of Boy Scouts and parents. 7 of the boys were taken to Mother Francis to be treated and all doctors were needed to help them.
She could not feel her legs but other than that it was a "natural" delivery!! And she still looks that good right after!! So it was no surprise to see how beautiful he baby was! We are all so proud of her!! Baby Holland was so alert her eyes were open and she was looking all around mostly looking at daddy Steven as he would talk.... daddy's little girl already!
And the proud Mema, Holland was so peaceful in her arms. We all were so excited to hold that cute little 9lb 1oz baby!

Go Fish!!

We headed down the street to our neighbors house to go fishing from their boat dock. We love living so close to the lake so we can go skiing so easy, we have only gone fishing one time before this, only to realize we didn't bring the right tools to set up the poles, so we were excited to give it another go!! And who better to teach us then the Atwood cousins! We always have so much fun when they come stay with us, Logan and Maddox love them.Lucky Maddox got a ride, he is getting so big, he loves his daddy!!

Logan got to carry the worms I am not sure he knew what he was carrying, because he seemed surprised when we opened them at the dock. I love where we live and I am glad to have such good and nice neighbors to let us use their dock. Garrett and Logan are scouting out the best spot to catch the biggest fish. Plus the stairs are such fun!! Maddox spotted some ducks swimming by and watched them till they flew away. Logan and Matt sat so patiently (about a min. and a half) trying to catch a fish, till Logan ran around checking everyones progress. Maddox had to join in. After a while I caught him throwing the extra bobbers in to the lake, I guess he didn't realize ours were connected to our string and pole!! Jake was a good little fisherman, so cute, he knew how to do it all. Tori watched from the top, she is getting so big and very pretty, it is so fun to have a neice mixed in with all these boys. Garrett Fished from the floating dock, he was the first to be brave enough to jump over there.
Buck was great, he hooked my worm for me, I would not have been able to fish if it weren't for Buck!! Saddly no one caught anything, maybe next time!! We did have fun!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was such a nice and relaxed day (well for me I was in charge of corn and I bought it ready to go just heat and eat!!) The food was all so good, my mom made such a beautiful turkey, and it was so good and the candied yams were espically candied this year yummy!!
Here we have the girls just enjoying the day. I am so thankful that my family lives so close, we are so lucky. We always have such a good time together. I am blessed w/a wonderful family.

The Boys Grammie (Matt's mom) Came in town for the holliday, we usually get to see her about once every month but she hasen't been her in a while, so it was a nice surprise, the boys were excited to see her.
Logan, Maddox and I were sleeping when the Acker family got there, so Logan was so happy to wake up to Dylan!! They are so cute together, best friends.
Matt looks the happiest in this picture cause he is excited to show that he is the proud owner of some new guns. We brought them out to the thanksgiving lunch so we could shoot them for the first time.
Here are all the boys (except Logan and Maddox, still asleep) ready to get fireing!!

Matt shot, he did great then he showed me how, they told me to put it against my sholder and to expect the gun to push back arter I shot, they didn't tell me it was gonna try to knock me on my back!!
I am glad Matt was there, He's always got my back!! A good husband, another thing to be thankful for, on this Thanksgiving. The cutest thing was Matt teaching Logan to shoot. Logan heald the gun but shot it before he was taught to aim. He was so proud to get to shoot the gun just like his daddy. A great father, I have no problem making myThanksgiving list. We went over all the gun safety and how a real gun is nothing like a nerf gun!! We are so excited to have another girl join our group of cousins, we are waiting Baby Holland!!

Zoo Day!

We had a Playgroup at the zoo not too long ago and Logan and Maddox loved it. They wanted to see everything without stayng n one spot to long. The snake and reptile hall was fun, and when we came out, the boys were so excited to see an animal not behind glass or in a cage, even though it was a squirl!! We saw the elephants, giraffe, lion, Monkeys, penguin, turtles, Birds, .....

and when we went in the bird house I got Logan and Maddox bird seed sticks and they were not intrested in having the birds flock to them, Logan went and found a lone bird off by it self to watch...
And Maddox was holding the rope watching when along came a friendly little bird who landed on Maddox' hand, obviously it scared him!
I love the bird house, and feeding the birds, but we didn't stay to long, since I'm the only one. After the pengins there is a bird/ fish/ random animal area and the botom half is the fish tank and Maddox wanted to get just a little closer so he tried to get under the gate, luckly he didn't fit!
And last we went to the petting zoo where they had goats, Logan had fun and he brushed their hair with some brushes they had, and Maddox was un sure about it, but he finally warmed up and pet a few.
. We had a really fun day at the Zoo!
